passionate or cocky? being over confident comes off as being cocky and arrogant so i highly doubt shy people are self absorbed because self confident people can appear that way too
I agree with Patricia. People are terrified to speak publicly because they are hyper focused on themselves. It’s interesting to me that shy people are often self absorbed people. They don’t appear that way on the outside. In fact they appear humble . . . nope just the opposite! All roads lead to them, and that terrifies them.
On the other hand, type A people like me seem over confident. Nope, just really passionate about what I’m trying to share with you. Thus, a great public speaker!
simple!
though i make videos..i still get nervous about public speaking or performing..lol..i mean, i break out into a sweat just at the very thought of it..the irony
thnx for posting..lets peeps know they’re not alone.
I hate speaking in public, and avoid it at all costs! Great video, very informative! Thanks!!
“Concurring” your fear???? Try “Conquering”.
This is very valuable information presented pleasantly and efficiently. I thought highly enough about it to post a link to my Facebook page!
thanks for sharing this informative clip… best wishes…
I love an audience and public speaking. However, many don’t. Good topic. Note-if you’re coaching execs on public speaking – although you might want to keep it comfortable – I would dress like an exec
Coming from someone who is afraid of public speaking, I found this video informative. Patricia made an interesting point about viewing the speech as giving away something of value. I think this change in mindset, for me, will ease some of the discomfort when speaking in public.
